Order More Robots?
Rates are rising because the economy is improving.
And if you are still afraid of robots taking your job, well, then you’re missing.
The next wave of robots will only make the ground more fertile and rewarding in the jobs market for humans.
And if you think that’s a perspective tainted by rose-coloured glasses then have a look at this:
The chart above from Calafia Beach Pundit blogger Scott Grannis on service sector hiring plans shows the pathway ahead.
The hiring plans for businesses (especially small business) in the service sector remain robust.
In fact, September's number was the strongest on record.
And There’s More…
Mr Grannis strikes again, this time showing the ISM survey of service sector business activity.
It's a self-fulfilling prophecy; as more people get jobs, more services are needed, demanded and paid for.
The September data was nothing less than a blockbuster.
Which means the bottom line suggests that it’s safe to say business activity in the service sector (by far the largest sector of the economy, generating about 70% of total jobs) has been picking up meaningfully.
Folks, it's always the scary sounding negative commentary that carries the most weight.
In fact, when any negative is introduced the scale in our brains goes on tilt and it becomes nigh to impossible for most to bring it back into balance.
This concept is so strong that the thought of any positive outweighing the negative doesn't even exist.
I say bring on the robots.
It seems to be working a charm for us humans!
